Marriage & Runaway Wife, Man
Finds Love Again in Nigeria.

Just as he announced on Facebook that his wife

week-old marriage and with another man, Isaiah

shared his love story on Facebook on Wednesday

He didn’t forget to share pictures of his new

with him but some cautioned:
“ Isaiah Otong I think you should pray and hold on
first before this marriage because it is so soon. Pls
study her very well before proper marriage. This is
my suggestion pls. ” (sic)

from God, but I think you should pray very well, so
that you won't make the previous mistake, not all

Gang Raped Nine Women In Lagos

Sunday John, a 27 year old leader of a 4 man robbery gang and serial rapist, arrested at Charity Bus Stop by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command, has confessed to have led 3 other members of his gang to rape nine women in the last two weeks.
The suspect, a bus conductor in Oshodi from Akwa Ibom was arrested in Charity Bus Stop around 5:38 a.m. on Wednesday in company of his two gang members by the Decoy Team of the Rapid Response Squad.
The names of his gang members are Saviour Daniel (23), Daniel Olayemi (18) and Abdulwahab Yusuph (17).
The operatives had on Tuesday evening arrested one of John’s colleagues while fighting with another group of boys over a Samsung tablet in Oshodi.
The suspect, Daniel Olayemi, a member of John’s gang, had disclosed to interrogators that he stole the tablet from a lady that was gang raped during one of their escapades in Charity Bus stop.
The revelation prompted early morning raid of Charity Bus Stop near Oshodi, where three other members of the gang were arrested.
Olayemi, in his disclosure to investigators revealed that they were four in John’s gang. He noted that in the last two weeks, the gang robbed 12 passers - by and raped no fewer than nine ladies in the bush at Charity Bus Stop.
“I have followed him to more than 12 operations. We were always operating at Charity Bus Stop from 4:00 a.m. to 5:40 a.m. Our last operation was on a lady of about 57 years old. She was passing by Charity Bus Stop. I snatched her hand bag and disappeared into the bush.
I came out of the bush to see three of my colleagues having sex with the lady. I hid the best of three phones I found in the lady’s bag. I disclosed to them that I saw two small phones and N8, 000:00 in the lady’s bag”, he stated. He continued, “we had in a similar circumstance days before, raped a 42 year old lady at the same spot when we didn’t see any valuable from her bag. We took turns to rape her, then, we allowed her to go.
In all the rape cases, John takes the initiative and the lead. He dragged the ladies into the bush before calling us to take our turns. He is the leader of the gang. None of us dare challenge him. He doesn’t share with us whatever we made from the robberies. That was why I stole the Samsung tablet from that lady”, he added.
“We also robbed men too. I participated in the robbery of about three men at the charity Bus Stop. In all the instances, John took a commanding lead, seizing the victims and dragging them into the bush where we either rape or took their valuables”, he noted.
On his own, Saviour Daniel said, “I didn’t partake in all the raping. I was only involved on three occasions. John was the one who dragged them into the bush and undress them. He took the lead and ordered us to take turns.
He is our leader. He is stronger than us and he instructed us to have sex with them. Whenever, he is exhausted, he ordered us to take our turn. I go after him. It is the youngest of us, Olayemi that came last. At times, they distanced themselves whenever we were taking turns".
Compelled by the revelations of his colleagues, Sunday John explained “in the last two weeks, we had robbed and dragged nine women between the ages of 27 years to 57 years into bush and rape them”.
“We took turns to rape them. While our primary aim was to steal their valuables, I have been having raping most of them after robbing them. It is true that it has been my idea but we have all been doing it together”, he revealed.
“After robbing the ladies, I dragged them into the nearby bush. If they are younger ladies, I carry her into the bush. Like, about 24 year old lady I carried into the bush two weeks ago.
After taking our turns on her, they (colleagues) all ran away. They took all she had on her. When they were gone, all her dress was all messed up. I took her to where she cleaned up.
She couldn’t even find her shoes. I got new set of slippers for her before I gave her N500 transport money, and to where she boarded a bus to Iyana Ipaja", he said.
“Whenever, we take a lady, we normally rape them but not all women. Most of those we raped were between 24 years to late 50s, like a mama we raped last Sunday, she was in her late 50s”, he maintained.
He added, “we are not the only gang that operate there. I know of about three other gangs that rob there. Some groups of boys come from Agbado and Agege to operate at Charity Bus Stop. They operate in the evening.
RRS Decoy team, it was learnt have placed it surveillance team in Charity Bus Stop with the hope of arresting other gangs mentioned by Sunday John.
Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Dolapo Badmos, said that the suspects have made very useful suggestions to enable the police arrest other group members implicated in the crime.
The suspects have been transferred to SCID for further investigations

Greek Ambassador To brazil Murdered By Wife's Lover After He Carght Them together in bed

Kyriakos Amiridis vanished without a trace on Boxing Day, when he left the home of his wife’s relatives in Rio de Janeiro and never returned
The Greek ambassador to Brazil whose body was found in a burnt-out car in Rio de Janeiro was murdered after finding his wife in bed with another man, police believe.
The charred remains of Kyriakos Amiridis, 59, were found on Wednesday underneath an overpass in the city, inside the car the diplomat had hired to spend Christmas and New Year with his wife’s relatives.
His Brazilian wife Francoise Amiridis told police she was out shopping on Monday night when he phoned at 8pm her saying he was going out, and never returned home.
But today police investigating the case claimed they believe his death was a “crime of passion” after he had discovered that his wife was having an affair with another man.
Investigators reportedly found blood stains in the apartment, which belongs to his wife, where the couple had been staying in the Nova Iguacu district of the city.
Police believe he was murdered in the apartment some time between Tuesday and Wednesday before his body was dumped in the hire car and set on fire yesterday morning.
The man Ms Amiridis was believed to have been having an affair with is reportedly a military police officer who works at a police base situated a local slum.
Both he and Ms Amiridis were questioned earlier today at the homicide police station in the Baixada Fluminense region of metropolitan Rio de Janeiro.
Investigators told Brazil’s Extra newspaper that they believe Ms Amiridis may have paid a contract killer to murder her husband after he found out about their relationship.
Ms Amiridis, who is not yet under arrest, denies any involvement with the ambassador’s death, claiming he never returned home on Monday, and didn’t know why there was blood on the sofa.
Police are reportedly analysing the sofa, as well as CCTV images from the area.
Mr Amridis, who took over the ambassador post in January this year, was Greek consul in Rio de Janeiro, where his wife also owns a home, for three years from 2001.
Before returning to Brazil, he was the Greek ambassdor in Libia for four years from 2012.

Why We Are At War With Gani Adams

Maruff Olanrewaju, the coordinator of the
Kwara State chapter of the Oodua People’s
Congress (OPC), in this interview, speaks on
his experience with the Yoruba liberation
group, the group leaders’ main grouse with
the Gani Adams leadership, the way forward
for Nigeria and the only peace route for OPC,
and more
Maruff Olanrewaju
You are said to be a freedom fighter, how did
it begin with you?
I’m a man who loves his tribe, the Yoruba, and
I can’t stand my people being oppressed.
When I was in school during the June 12 1993
crisis, I admired freedom fighters like the late
Chief Gani Fawehinmi, Dr. Beko Ransome
Kuti. Then strong human rights activists like
Barrister Femi Falana, Olisa Agbakoba, and
many others fighting then for the realization
of Chief M.K.O. Abiola’s electoral mandate.
Since then I had it in mind that I would
become one of those fighting to liberate
Yoruba from the bondage of the Hausa/Fulani
oligarchy. That was about the time the Oodua
People’s Congress (OPC) was born. Before
then, NADECO was the leading organisation
calling for justice on the June 12 struggle.
OPC was formed in 1994 under an
organization called JACON but hardly did
people know OPC then until between 1997 and
1998 when it joined the voices that were
calling for the release of Chief Abiola, the
restructuring of Nigeria, creation of state
police, resources control, among other matters
of national importance. It was then I joined
OPC in which up till date I’m an important
factor.
As an important factor in OPC just as you
have said, please, share your relationship
with one of the leaders of the group, Gani
Adams?
My late father used to tell me that whenever
you find yourself within a group, make sure
you give respect to whom it’s due, meaning
respect who the leaders are and give all your
support to them, obey instructions and never
allow yourself to be used as a tool for
destruction, do not cheat and never accept to
be cheated. In line with this wisdom, I
followed Gani Adams leadership in OPC to the
letter. He can attest to this claim. Whatever
he did that was legal, I gave my total support,
and I love him blindly to the extent that other
members of the group took me as enemy.
This is because I never supported any plot
against Gani. For example, in 2007, there was
a serious crisis in the leadership of OPC when
Gani Adams was alleged of embezzling the
organization’s money and some of his security
aides demanded for N10 million if the crisis
must be settled. During that crisis, I stood
solidly behind Gani because I believed that the
crisis was meant to humiliate him and
question the integrity of his leadership.
So, at what point did crisis come between you
and Gani?
You will recall that I said earlier that OPC was
an organization calling for restructuring,
resource control and state autonomy. If I may
ask, do we have autonomy in OPC? The
answer is no. Let me use this opportunity to
tell the world that Gani Adams leadership is
purely dictatorial as I later realized. Gani
believes in dictatorship, he doesn’t welcome
ideas from other members of OPC, especially
if such ideas contradict his own agenda.
During the 2015 general election, there was
the speculation that Gani Adams collected N9
billion from the Goodluck Jonathan
government to destabilize Yoruba land. I
personally addressed the press on the issue
and debunked the rumour. But later, we got to
know that Gani truly collected money from
Jonathan, which we were told was meant to
empower all members of OPC.
How did you find out he got the money?
He confirmed it later. When he got the money,
he asked all our members to open a dedicated
account in the bank that he would send what
he called employment money to every
member between N200,000 and N250,000. But
that was the last we heard on the issue of the
money and employment. Before the 2015
election, Gani was living at Abule Ado but
immediately after the election, he bought a
mansion in Omole Phase 2. He also bought
brand new jeeps for himself, his wife, and his
only son respectively. He didn’t stop there; he
went to London to launch a radio channel and
news magazine. He did all these without
giving any member of OPC a dime. That was
the point I and like-minded people took it up
with him. We told him that he must step down
as OPC leader since he has betrayed the
confidence we had in him.
The OPC leadership, does it have a term limit
backed by its constitution?
There is no term limit or any leader in OPC
and the constitution is weak. The constitution
was written between 1999 and 2000 when
Gani was already leading the organization but
he refused to sign it because he saw some
aspects in that constitution that he felt was
not favorable to his leadership. He later
wrote a new constitution but he was still
scared of presenting it to the OPC national
coordinating council because he knows that
there is nowhere under the sky where such an
autocratic law is operating.
What is the connection between OPC and
Oodua Progressives Union, OPU?
The connection between the two is that the
both are Yoruba organizations. But the
difference is that when Gani Adams noticed
that he might not survive with his dictatorial
leadership style in OPC, he used OPC money
to establish OPU outside Nigeria with the
intention to destroy OPC so that if he has any
problem with OPC, OPU will come to his
rescue. We will continue to say it, OPC is not
a political organization and it is not affiliated
to any political party. When we say our aim is
to protect the interest of Yoruba but we are
supporting political parties, it means we have
already deviated from our oath and objectives
because Yoruba cut across all political party.
So far, what can you point at as OPC’s
achievements?
Sincerely speaking, OPC has achieved a lot
especially in cultural promotion. We have been
able to showcase our cultural values to the
outside world. Even our home governments
now realize that they can generate a lot of
revenues in tourism if they can invest more in
tourism. We have many tourism attractions
here in Nigeria especially in Yorubaland. We
have the Owu Force in Oke Oyan/Owa Kajola
in Ifelodun local government area of Kwara
State, we have the Oya groove in Ira, Oyun
local government of Kwara State, and we have
hot and cold water flowing together in Ikogosi
in Ekiti State, and a lot more. Moreover, we
still have a long way to go. Our government
needs to come out in full support of cultural
groups like OPC which is doing a lot in
cultural promotions so that our rich culture
which is our only pride will not become
history. OPC originally was born as a liberation
force. It came into being basically to promote
and defend the Yoruba nation when the
Ibrahim Babangida military junta annulled
the June 12, 1993 election. We swore on oath
never to allow the interest of any tribe to
override the Yoruba’s. The first major success
happened when the struggle was hot between
1998 and 1999. The Nigerian government
headed then by General Abdulsalami
Abubakar, a northerner, was forced to endorse
the nomination of two Yoruba men for the
position of number one citizen in Nigeria,
Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Chief Olu Falae.
But we still have a long way to go even now in
term of emancipation. We are still calling for
the creation of state police, resource control,
let those whose lands produce determine how
they live their lives, let’s have state or
regional autonomy, let’s have true federalism,
Nigeria needs to be restructured if we must
continue to live together in peace. If we are
to look at it critically, you will agree with me
that nothing is working in Nigeria anymore. So,
the only solution to liberating this country is
restructuring. The OPC particularly can’t stop
fighting for liberation when we are not yet at
the destination.
What is your assessment of the Muhammadu
Buhari-led APC government?
Considering his integrity, I would say that
President Muhammad Buhari means well for
Nigeria. But there are two problems I have
identified with his government. One, he came
to power at the wrong time. Wrong time
because things have been so bastardized it
would take even the holiest of men years to
fix. Two, Buhari is surrounded by corrupt
politicians, and he was supported to become
president by this same set of corrupt
politicians, which I see as another reason he
may find it even more difficult to move Nigeria
forward.
As a leader in your own right, how accessible
are your followers to you?
Every member of my organization can tell you
about me. They are the mirror through which I
see myself. I’m a man of the people and my
people have easy access to me anytime.
Do you have any political ambition yet?
No.
Tell us about the empowerment scheme in
your group.
Empowering our members is one agenda that
I take serious. We do it regularly, though with
the little resources available to us. I’m not
ready to disappoint my people because one
leader took away all the money meant for
everyone.
Tell us about yourself and what you are you
doing at the moment.
My name is Salam Maruff Olarewaju. I was
born some years ago in Ondo State but I hail
from Oyan, Ifelodun local government area of
Kwara State. My father is Chief Salam
Atoranse of Ayekale compound, Oke. I had my
primary education in Ondo State and started
the secondary education there which I later
completed at Shao Grammar School in Kwara
State. I also studied Public Administration at
Kwara State Polytechnic in Ilorin where I got
OND and HND. I’m currently studying Finance
Management at the Institute of Finance in the
UK. I also attended Arabic school both in Ilorin
and Lagos State before moving to Abeokuta,
Ogun State where I got Dhanawy certificate in
Arabic. Later, I studied Arabic and Islamic at
Uthman Danfodio University, Sokoto, where I
graduated as an Islamic scholar. I then came
back to practice in Ilorin as an Islamic
teacher which I did for some years before
quitting to face full time business.
Finally, so you foresee reconciliation with the
Gani Adams group?
No. This issue is not about the Kwara OPC
alone. It is about OPC in seven states, Ondo,
Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Delta, Bayelsa and Abuja,
and OPC in 12 local government areas in
Lagos State. So, there won’t be any
reconciliation until Gani Adams quit and allow
OPC to freely choose its leaders. Courtesy Funsho Arogundade of pmexpressng.com

Carrie Fisher, 60, Child of Hollyhood and 'Star Wars' Royalty, Dies

Carrie Fisher, 60, Child of Hollywood and ‘Star Wars’ Royalty, Dies
Carrie Fisher, the actress, author and screenwriter who brought a rare combination of nerve, grit and hopefulness to her most indelible role, as Princess Leia in the “Star Wars” movie franchise, died on Tuesday morning. She was 60.
A family spokesman, Simon Hall, confirmed the death in a statement, saying Ms. Fisher died at 8:55 a.m. She had had a heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles on Friday and had been hospitalized in Los Angeles.
Ms. Fisher, the daughter of the pop singer Eddie Fisher and the actress Debbie Reynolds, went on to use her perch among Hollywood royalty to offer wry commentary in her books on the paradoxes and absurdities of the entertainment industry.
“Star Wars,” released in 1977, turned her overnight into an international movie star. The film, written and directed by George Lucas, traveled around the world, breaking box-office records. It proved to be the first installment of a blockbuster series whose vivid, even preposterous characters — living “a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away,” as the opening sequence announced — became pop culture legends and the progenitors of a merchandising bonanza.
Ms. Fisher established Princess Leia as a damsel who could very much deal with her own distress, wheth
er facing down the villainy of the dreaded Darth Vader or the romantic interests of the roguish smuggler Han Solo.
Wielding blaster pistols, piloting futuristic vehicles and, to her occasional chagrin, wearing strange hairdos and a revealing metal bikini, she reprised the role in three more films — in “The Empire Strikes Back” in 1980, in “Return of the Jedi” in 1983 and, 32 years later, in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” by which time Leia had become a hard-bitten general.
Winning the admiration of countless fans, Ms. Fisher never played Leia as helpless. She had the toughness to escape the clutches of the monstrous gangster Jabba the Hutt and the tenderness to tell Han Solo, as he is about to be frozen in carbonite, “I love you.” (Solo, played by Harrison Ford, caddishly replies, “I know.”)
Offscreen, Ms. Fisher was open about her diagnosis of bipolar disorder . She gave her dueling dispositions the nicknames Roy (“the wild ride of a mood,” she said) and Pam (“who stands on the shore and sobs”). She channeled her struggles with depression and substance abuse into fiercely comic works, including the semiautobiographical novel “Postcards From the Edge” and the one-woman show “Wishful Drinking,” which she turned into a memoir.
For all the attention she received for playing Princess Leia, Ms. Fisher enjoyed poking wicked fun at the character, as well as at the fantastical “Star Wars” universe. “Who wears that much lip gloss into battle?” she asked in a recent memoir, “The Princess Diarist.”
Having seen both its light and dark sides, Ms. Fisher did not take fame too seriously, or consider it an enduring commodity.
As she wrote in “The Princess Diarist”:
“Perpetual celebrity — the kind where any mention of you will interest a significant percentage of the public until the day you die, even if that day comes decades after your last real contribution to the culture — is exceedingly rare, reserved for the likes of Muhammad Ali.”
Carrie Frances Fisher was born on Oct. 21, 1956, in Beverly Hills, Calif. She was the first child of her highly visible parents (they later had a son, Todd), and said in “Wishful Drinking” that, while her mother was under anesthetic delivering her, her father fainted.
“So when I arrived,” Ms. Fisher wrote, “I was virtually unattended! And I have been trying to make up for that fact ever since.”
In 1959, Ms. Reynolds divorced Eddie Fisher in the wake of his affair with Elizabeth Taylor, whom he married that same year. (Ms. Taylor later left him to marry Richard Burton.)
Any semblance of a normal childhood was impossible for Ms. Fisher. At 15, she played a debutante in the Broadway musical “Irene,” which starred her mother, and appeared in Ms. Reynolds’s Las Vegas nightclub act. At 17, Ms. Fisher made her first movie, “Shampoo” (1975), Hal Ashby’s satire of Nixon-era politics and the libidinous Los Angeles culture of the time, in which she played the precocious daughter of a wealthy woman (Lee Grant) having an affair with a promiscuous hairdresser (Warren Beatty).
She was one of roughly two dozen young actresses considered for the role of Princess Leia in Mr. Lucas’s marathon casting sessions for “Star Wars.” (Cindy Williams, Amy Irving, Sissy Spacek and Jodie Foster were among those who also read for the part.)
Many of Ms. Fisher’s line readings from that film have since become part of the cinematic canon: her repeated, almost hypnotic exhortation, “Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi, you’re my only hope” ; her wryly unimpressed reaction when Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) arrives in disguise to rescue her from a detention cell: “Aren’t you a little short for a storm trooper?”

“Star Wars” became a financial and cultural phenomenon, launching more movies and a merchandising machine that splashed Ms. Fisher’s likeness on all manner of action figures and products while casting her into an uneasy limelight.
She partied with the Rolling Stones during the making of “The Empire Strikes Back,” hosted “Saturday Night Live ” and had romantic relationships with Dan Aykroyd (with whom she appeared in “The Blues Brothers”) and Paul Simon. She and Mr. Simon had a marriage that lasted less than a year, and he was inspired to write his song “Hearts and Bones” about their time together.
As its lyrics go:
Two people were married
The act was outrageous
The bride was contagious

Lagos Prophet Predicts," TB Joshua's End Is near, Buhari Will Till 2019 As God Sent him As A Punshiment".

The founder of Mountain of Blessing and Miracle Church of Christ, Dr. Olagorioye Faleyimu, has revealed shocking prophecies for 2017, according to the reports that claim. He made this known on Christmas Day in his church in Lagos. On Nollywood, he said, “They need to pray like never before so as not to lose another 2 stars before the year runs out.
Without special prayers, Funke Akindele won’t have a child before she dies because she is destined to be wealthy and famous but not destined to have a child and stable husband until she engages herself in the special prayer.
Whosoever marries her must have another reason because the issue of not having a child will keep coming up and it will scatter the marriage. If she refuses to do the prayer, she will end up adopting a child and by that time, she will be living alone without husband. .
Another grace she has is to marry a pastor who can fight the battle on her behalf with prayers.
God told me to tell Gov. Fayose to be careful and he shouldn’t turn himself to God. .
God said he should watch his mouth so as not to end his political career in jail.
PDP will never rule Nigeria again no matter how much they try. APC has 8 years to rule and won’t rule Nigeria again after 2023. .
The world black powers have declared Nigeria as their target and their spirit is what is ruling the country. Most of the pastors in Nigeria belong to this secret society because that is where they get powers to perform miracles. .
God said we are not worshiping him in Nigeria but worshiping money. Buhari isn’t the Messiah. He is sent to punish those ruining Nigeria and he will do that for 8 years. The Messiah is a man of God and he is not in politics yet. .
God said nobody should criticize Buhari’s government because his mission is to set the pace for the Messiah.
T.B Joshua should be prayerful so as not to lose a child before he goes because his time is near. .
Nigerians should not expect change from anyone in government without changing the flag of Nigeria. God said the present flag we are using is a symbol of suffering.”

My Predecessors Went Away With 22 Police Vehicles Ex-XGP Arase

Former Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase
Ramon Oladimeji
The immediate past Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, has advised his successor, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, to avoid engaging in acts that could bring any past occupant of that office to public ridicule.
In a letter dated December 1, 2016, which he wrote to Idris, Arase pointed out that it was for this reason that while he was in office, he ensured that Force Order 295 was put in place to protect ex-IGs from being demeaned.
Arase, who retired as police IG in June, said it was in the spirit of this order that he desisted from ridiculing the last two IGs before him even though he knew that they each went away with 13 and nine police vehicles respectively when leaving office.
The former IGs, which Arase referred to, are Mohammed Abubakar, who retired in 2014 and Suleiman Abba, who was sacked in April last year by former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Arase said this in his reply to the allegations by Idris that he (Arase) took away 24 police vehicles while leaving office in June as the IG.
The former IG had earlier dismissed his successors allegations that he left with two dozens of vehicles while leaving office, wondering what he would do with such number of vehicles.
Arase said rather than denigrate Abba, who he succeeded, he indeed initiated actions and bought a brand new bulletproof jeep for the sacked IG despite the fact that Abba’s administration left a debt of N28bn for him to contend with.
He urged Idris to put the integrity and honour of the Nigeria Police Force first in any action he might want to take so that the force would not be exposed to public ridicule.
Arase said, “I expect that former occupants of the office of the Inspector-General of Police should not be demeaned. This explains why Force Order 295 was emplaced by the force management under my leadership as acknowledged in your letter in reference.
“In spite of the emplacement of this order and despite the fact that my two immediate predecessors left office with 13 and nine vehicles of different makes and models respectively, I never pressurised either of them to return any of such vehicles neither did I engage in any act that was capable of bringing them to ridicule as being done to me of late by a force I dedicated my life to serving up to the highest level.
“Rather, it is on record that I went the extra mile to source for funds and initiated actions towards purchasing a brand new bulletproof jeep for my immediate predecessor, even after his retirement from service. This was done notwithstanding the fact that I inherited and had to manage a huge debt profile of about N28bn, which limited the financial base of the force at the time.”
Among the 13 vehicles, which Arase said Abubakar took away were a BMW (7 series) bulletproof car; and two Toyota Land Cruiser V8 bulletproof jeeps.
According to him, Abba also took away a Toyota Land Cruiser bulletproof jeep and a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado jeep along with seven other vehicles.
Arase said God had blessed him so much and he was contended to the point that he would willingly surrender “all my vehicular entitlements even as contained in the Revised Force Order 295 in the overriding interest of the force and in the sustenance of the legacy of comradeship between an incumbent IGP and his predecessor.”
He said he decided to delay in returning the vehicles, which Idris alleged he took away, as a form of protest against the “unfair, untidy and demeaning approach the matter was handled until now.”
Arase, however, said he harboured no animosity towards Idris and encouraged him to feel free to approach him for advice, just as his predecessors did to him.

Robbers Raid Redeemed Church On Christmas Eve In Abuja Nigeria

·
ROBBERS RAID REDEEMED
CHURCH ON CHRISTMAS
EVE, IN ABUJA NIGERIA.

 December 25, 2016
Dare-devil armed robbers stormed the
Redeemed Christian Church of God,
Madalla in the outskirts of Abuja on
Christmas Eve, truncating their
celebration by carting away musical
equipment worth millions of Naira slated
for use during the event.
The church, located in Madalla New site,
was decorated in glowing colours by its
members in preparation for a night of
songs and dances before men of
underworld stormed the place, what
members described as a sacrilege.
Sunday Telegraph gathered that the
robbers broke into the well-decorated
church hall and made away with entire
music instrument estimated to cost over
N3 million.
The robbers, who removed the protective
iron rods and burglary proofs at the
entrance of the Church, did not spare any
item in sight.
List of music instruments carted away
include, machine console, heavy
speakers, drums, mixers, microphones,
generator and other auxiliary music
instruments of the church.
A frontline member of the church who
confirmed the incident to Sunday
Telegraph said the incident had been
formally reported at the Madalla Police
Station.
“We were fully prepared in anticipation to
uniquely celebrate the Christmas with a
bashing Christmas Carol. Our members
had painstakingly rehearsed with our
music instrument, good ones they were.
The church premises renovated,
decorated with colorful ribbons as part of
preparation for a befitting Christmas. The
dream was almost aborted by midnight
robbers who, in the wee hours, burgled
the church and went with the entire
music instruments.
Not a single item was left. The only
microphone spared by their filthy hands
was the one kept in daddy’s office.
I guess it was spared due to oversight.
Every other item connected to music was
taken away, though no cash was stolen
because as a rule, we don’t keep cash in
premises”, he said.
Asked if the musical fiesta had been put
on hold because of the incident, he
answered in the negative.
According to him, the night of carols will
still hold but the choir will sing with their
natural voices, adding that aborting it
would be like succumbing to the acts of
the devil. Courtesy Abuja Reporters.
